[ INDUSTRY ]

[ CHALLENGE ]

Like most nuclear operators, this utility runs a formal Corrective Action Program to identify, screen and resolve conditions adverse to quality. The process leaned on paper condition reports and spreadsheet trackers passed between shifts and departments, or on an EAM system that kept staff tied to a desk.

That created three problems:

  • Delayed reporting, because staff identified an issue in the field and wrote it up later from memory

  • Scattered status, with updates living in email threads rather than one system of record

  • Manual audit preparation, reconstructing the paper trail by hand

The organization needed corrective action to be captured where the condition was found and tracked in one place.

[ SOLUTION ]

Trinoor deployed the TAShelix Corrective Action Program, giving field staff a mobile way to initiate a condition report at the point of discovery.

Key capabilities included:

  • Mobile Initiation
Condition reports are raised in the field rather than written up later from memory.

  • Automatic Screening and Routing
Reports reach the right reviewer based on configurable screening criteria.

  • Integrated Record
Every status change, assignment and closure is captured in one system, already integrated with the plant's Asset Suite or Maximo environment, so a corrective action can trigger a condition report, action request, work request or work order without re-keying.

  • Live Trending
Supervisors and the CAP coordinator see open items, aging reports and trending issues by equipment, system or cause code.
